Set it up
A keeper holds a ball and two teammates show at different gates. Keep targets clear of other activities.
How to play
Look at the available teammate, step toward the target, and release a smooth ground roll. Receivers control and return the ball before moving to a new gate.
Make it easier
Bring targets closer and widen gates.
Add a challenge
A passive opponent screens one receiver so the keeper chooses another.
What to watch for
The ball bounces toward a pressured teammate. Slow the release and check the receiver before distributing.
Take it into a game
Finish with a short small-sided game and look for the same goalkeeping decision without the activity’s extra conditions. Ask a player to describe one moment when it helped. Keep the next round simple if the skill disappears under pressure.
KEEP IT SIMPLEGet balanced, look, then choose.
