Teach it with a simple activity
Place a ball on a painted or taped line. Move it slowly and ask children to choose the first position where none of the ball is above the line.
A situation to discuss
A player is standing outside the field while controlling a ball that remains on the line. The player’s feet do not decide whether the ball is out.
Avoid this misunderstanding
The side of the ball can overlap the line even when its ground-contact point appears outside.
