Set it up
One thrower has two receivers, one near and one farther away. Rehearse the legal throw-in action for the rules your league uses.
How to play
Receivers move to different spaces. The thrower chooses a visible teammate and throws within reach. The receiver controls and finds the other teammate. Rotate all roles.
Make it easier
Use no defenders and shorter throws.
Add a challenge
Add a defender who covers one receiver.
What to watch for
Both receivers run directly toward the thrower. Ask one to offer near support and the other to create space farther away.
Take it into a game
Finish with a short small-sided game and look for the same restarts decision without the activity’s extra conditions. Ask a player to describe one moment when it helped. Keep the next round simple if the skill disappears under pressure.
KEEP IT SIMPLELook for space. Keep the ball within reach.
