Set it up
Play equal teams with a ball. A controlled reception or dribble into the opposite end zone scores.
How to play
When possession changes, the new team looks forward first but may keep the ball if the direct route is closed. Restart from the end line after a score.
Make it easier
Add a neutral who supports the team with the ball.
Add a challenge
Narrow the end zones to require a more precise final action.
What to watch for
Players rush every counter and lose the ball. Ask whether forward space is actually open.
Take it into a game
Finish with a short small-sided game and look for the same transitions decision without the activity’s extra conditions. Ask a player to describe one moment when it helped. Keep the next round simple if the skill disappears under pressure.
KEEP IT SIMPLELook for space. Keep the ball within reach.
