| Players | 6–10 |
|---|---|
| Starting space | 25 × 20 yards; four corner gates |
| Suggested time | 6–10 minutes, including short breaks |
| Equipment | Balls, flat cones, bibs when teams are used |
Set it up
Play 3v3 or 4v4. Each team attacks two gates on the opposite end.
How to play
After winning the ball, look for the less protected gate. After losing it, the nearest player delays while teammates recover. Use normal scoring rather than a mandatory first pass.
Make it easier
Reduce the field and use wider gates.
Add a challenge
Add one neutral player to create more switching options.
What to watch for
Everyone follows the ball toward the same corner. Ask the far player what space has just opened.
Take it into a game
Finish with a short small-sided game and look for the same transitions decision without the activity’s extra conditions. Ask a player to describe one moment when it helped. Keep the next round simple if the skill disappears under pressure.
KEEP IT SIMPLELook for space. Keep the ball within reach.
