Set it up
Pairs begin with room around them and decide which direction to travel.
How to play
Move slowly through the area, exchanging short ground passes. After every reception, look for open space before sending the next pass. Avoid other pairs.
Make it easier
Let the receiver stop before each pass.
Add a challenge
Travel through a different gate after each completed pass.
What to watch for
Partners drift too far apart. Keep the distance short enough for a controlled ground pass and an easy next touch.
Take it into a game
Finish with a short small-sided game and look for the same passing decision without the activity’s extra conditions. Ask a player to describe one moment when it helped. Keep the next round simple if the skill disappears under pressure.
KEEP IT SIMPLELook for space. Keep the ball within reach.
