Set it up
Play 2v2 or 3v3 inside with one neutral player on each end line. Neutrals support the team in possession.
How to play
Score by connecting from one end neutral to the other. The inside team can recycle through the same neutral when forward space is closed. Rotate outside roles.
Make it easier
Let neutrals take as many touches as needed.
Add a challenge
Allow a defender to approach the neutral within the marked playing area.
What to watch for
Players crowd the neutral after passing. Move away to offer a different return angle.
Take it into a game
Finish with a short small-sided game and look for the same teamwork decision without the activity’s extra conditions. Ask a player to describe one moment when it helped. Keep the next round simple if the skill disappears under pressure.
KEEP IT SIMPLELook for space. Keep the ball within reach.
