Set it up
Put spare balls in a central square. Small groups have a base at each corner. Each child collects only one ball at a time.
How to play
Dribble a ball from the center to your base, park it carefully, then return for another. Reset together rather than letting children steal from one another.
Make it easier
Move bases nearer and remove the race element.
Add a challenge
Return one ball to a different base using the other foot.
What to watch for
Children kick balls toward the base and chase. Require a controlled stop inside the base for a completed delivery.
Take it into a game
Finish with a short small-sided game and look for the same dribbling decision without the activity’s extra conditions. Ask a player to describe one moment when it helped. Keep the next round simple if the skill disappears under pressure.
KEEP IT SIMPLELook for space. Keep the ball within reach.
